Following a successful weekend at the Head of the Charles, the team continued their training regimen before the final race of the season, the Head of the Fish. The team usually competes at the Princeton 3-Mile Chase this time of year, but chose to test out their speed relative to the competition they compete with in the spring. The full team made the long trek to Saratoga Springs, New York to race against New England rivals of WPI, Williams, Wesleyan, and many other opponents. Despite the stiff headwind on the course, all three crews had great showings in their respective events. The varsity boat finished second place, 2.54 seconds behind Marist College in the varsity eight event. The second and third varsity finished third and thirteenth in the second varsity eight. The second and third varsity crews had last minute switches that did not take away from their speed and performance on the water. The team is excited about their results and wanting to build off their recent success as they enter winter training.
